ESA and IIDB,does IIDB affect my ESA rebait?

in Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
I have recently been refused the ESA 'backpay' as I am receiving IIDB as well .I am now 65 and officially retired.Has the DWP got this right?

    Industrial injuries benefit affects Income Related ESA £1 for £1 so yes the decision is most likely correct.

    The Income related top up for ESA is £16.40 extra per week from April 2018, less in previous years. If your IIDB is more than this amount then you won't be entitled to any Income related top up.

    See link and scroll down to affect on other benefits.. Income related ESA is one of the benefits is affects and the top up is the income related part. IIDB doesn't affect Contributions based benefits.
