    Hi,

ESA is a working age benefit and stops once you reach state pension age. You should receive a letter from DWP in the coming months telling you what happens next.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I believe that you have to apply for your state pension, it is not an automatic transfer. Usually you need to do this 4 months prior to your pension being started

    Hi

Just to add, about state pension.

I would suggest you get a state pension forecast, this can be done at anytime.

You will get letter from State Pension, three months before you reach state pension age.

You have to contact them to get your pension into payment.

In the letter it asked if you wish to defer your state pension.

The State Pension changed in 2016, so it’s worth getting a pension forecast.

    Hope this helps.
