Hi,No, you can't claim carers allowance for looking after yourself.Do you live alone or classed as living alone? Does anyone claim carers allowance for looking after you?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi,I answered on your other thread here https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/what-benefits-am-i-entitled-to-As there's information here that i asked on your other thread i'll help you further.Severe disability premium is payable to those that live alone. It's paid with pension credit, so you have to claim this to claim the SDP. See link. https://www.gov.uk/pension-credit

you cannot get carers allowance for looking after yourself but if you think you re not getting all you are entitled to you can do a benefits checker here and see if they can suggest others to apply for - https://www.turn2us.org.uk/ - it doesn't guarantee success but if it useful as a guide
