    If you're talking about Universal Credit then this will totally depend on your circumstances, savings and capital and with no information it's impossible to answer your question.

    I'd advise a visit to your local CAB or similar for a full benefits check.

    You mentioned being on your own and in receipt of PIP. Do you currently get any other benefits and does anyone claim Carer's Allowance for you?
