Extra time given when Iv not requested it !

i had to re apply for PIP as I won my appeal and my time had run out. I received the application to re apply and had a date to return it. Today I received a letter saying “ we have not received you PIP claim for so we are giving you an extra 14 days to return it!!! I didn’t request an extension so wondering if anyone else has received such a letter
