Hi everyone. My grandson has CP, but at this stage it is only affecting his left arm/hand. He is 3/4ys old and we were wondering what company people found most helpful with adaptive clothing. He struggles to remove his pants and trousers when he wants the toilet. If anyone can help we will be eternally grateful? Thankyou

Hi @traceyvalentina
I don't have much knowledge about this but just had an idea for you. I just googled 'adaptive clothing for disabled children' and loads of search results came up. It might be worth (although I appreciate the time it may take) to look at the reviews for a couple of the stores from people who have actually used them who might be able to give the best advice. Sorry I can't help more. Hopefully someone on here will have some good info for you. Good luck!

Hello @traceyvalentina. Welcome to Scope.
This company makes clothes for disabled folks.
http://www.disabled-clothing.co.uk/.
My son’s PT also recommended this company that specialises in adaptive clothes for wheelchair users of all ages.
https://www.able2wear.co.uk/.
I have personally bought their products in the past myself. Also talk to his OT too. He or she can offer you advice and recommendations. -
Perhaps you could talk to his therapists? Surely his OT would be able to give you more advice.

Hi @traceyvalentina
Two sites that I know of are:
https://www.livingmadeeasy.org.uk/children/clothing-for-children-2593/Clothing for children. This section of Living made easy lists a range of clothing for disabled children. It includes clothing for both day and night time, protective outdoor wear for children who use wheelchairs and buggies, underwear, clothing for sensitive skin, swimwear, bibs and aprons, and wheelchair gloves.
