This is Jake. He is a Welsh Cob. My first visit today, I was taken round to meet their 6 horses and 2 ponies. Then groomed this guy. Lovely time there, back next week. Will post more info and photos in another thread.

Incidentally I'm told Jake's legs are white! Which shows the state of the countryside round here. The fields look like lakes in places.

That last comment made me chuckle @Franstrahan! Did you get caked in mud too?Community Manager

Hey Fran, do you think there might be a chance of working at the stables? Just a thought. x

@Adrian_Scope
I steered clear of most of the mud. Didnt think, only had trainers on.
@pollyanna1052
Polly, that has already crossed my mind! I thought give it a couple of weeks and sort of see if theres any chance ......... -

I think they have made a 'positive impact' already, yes!
I'll get photos of the 2 ponies next week, if they're not still keeping out the way. One of them is a Dartmoor pony. In the summer months they take the ponies round local retirement homes and care homes for the residents to stroke etc. -
Are they rescued horses and ponies?
-
@pollyanna1052
Ebony is, the 27yo. They got her very recently as her owner has dementia and can no longer care for her.
I think the Dartmoor pony, Toffee, must be a rescue but otherwise not sure. I'll find out. Mike did say that none of them were 'anything special', just horses they've come across. I checked that one out coz someone said to me they'd probably be part Arabian as they are such gentle horses. -
Jake, tied up for grooming.
