Hi @givingup, I'm really sorry to hear this. You must be going through a really difficult time at the moment. I hope the hospital look after you well and can get more support in place.

Hi @givingup I am so sorry you are in hospital and suffering so much hopefully you will get the support you need, its important that the medical team are aware of what pushed you to take this action. I wish you every success in your recovery and keep us updated

I got a phone call around 4.45pm yesterday from dwp saying they,ve changed the decision of the assessment and are awarding me pips! I'm getting the same as I was on dla, I was in tears and still can't believe it! It's for 2 years. Don't know why they changed their minds?

@givingup that's great news so pleased it has worked out for you. Are you out of hospital now ?

I've been allowed home full time now, with help from hospital for a week, a team are calling in on me every evening for 7 days. I feel alot better and am feeling silly for doing what I did.
-
That's great news and glad you are getting support think being at home is always better for recovery. Feeling silly is no doubt a natural reaction but you have nothing to feel silly for
-
So glad to hear you are back at home and have that extra support in place! You have no need to feel silly. You were struggling and you've now been able to reach out. I hope things continue to be okay and we're always here if you need a listening ear.Scope

I'm so grateful, my advisor from citizens advice phoned me over getting my pips decision reversed in my favour, she said quite a few people this week have also been awarded pips without having to go to tribunal! She doesn't know why, but I hope people in all the UK waiting on a pips tribunal are able to get a favourable decision before having to go through the tribunal ordeal.

That's great news hope you got the award you deserved and you can now concentrate on you and getting better

Thank you. Yes I got the right amount as my advisor told me. I would like other people on here to let me know if they get a phone call from dwp saying they have reversed the decision of the accessor and get the money their entitled to. Thank you.
