Lack of investigation into formal grievance

I need advice regarding an issue at work. I have raised a formal grievance because of discrimination. My employer, the NHS, is refusing to acknowledge it as a formal grievance and only wants to discuss it informally.
They have delayed responding for nearly 3 months and so far have not investigated anything.
Any advice please?

Hi hope you are well this evening? I assume you belong to one of the nursing unions? If so I would ask them to get involved.
my advice is given freely and is correct to the best of my knowledge.

No I am not a nurse or a member of a union.

I recommend you join a union immediately and in the meantime book an appointment with an employment solicitor. Your employer will have timescales laid out for all elements of a grievance. By now you should know that they are at the bare minimum.
