Terrified of groups

I don't know what it is, but when I'm on my own, or even with my sister, I'm really scared of groups. I just feel like I'll go past and they'll start laughing and saying stuff about me. I know it's stupid to think like that, and I don't know why I do. No-one has ever done that.
Anyone had this?
