Women & Theatre and the University of Birmingham are running two exploratory online workshops in October as part of a new project to see how theatre can be used to translate research about experiences of sexual & reproductive health and healthcare (for women with CP).
These workshops aim to bring together a mixed group of people – disabled women and practitioners from healthcare, academic and creative fields – to respond and discuss some the issues raised from the research. As a group, we will also consider how a theatre-based approach might be effective for sharing the research with wider audiences and feed into training for relevant health professionals and policymakers.
Both workshops will follow the same format although will focus on different research material. Workshop participants could attend one or both workshops subject to capacity.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Dr Sonali Shah (s.shah.3@bham.ac.uk) or Dr Gianna Bouchard (g.m.bouchard@bham.ac.uk) with your name and a brief description of your background and details of which workshop you would like to attend. Spaces are limited.
