There would probably be a way to upload a voice memo yes, and I don't think you would have to show your face on camera. I don't like doing that either

I'm not 100% sure if you can upload MP3 files to YouTube, but you could always film it as a video with your camera off, or convert the file @Globster.

I think maybe the easiest way would be to record the audio, and then add some text, pictures, or just a plain coloured screen to make it a video file @Globster. I think it's quite easily done on free software like Movie Maker.
