Socialising Virtually

I thought it might be good to share ideas of how we are socialising virtually. I don't know about others but I have been a bit fed up and down in the dumps initially with each lockdown. And so each time I've come up with a new idea for a social activity we can do. Id be interested to hear others but mine are -
Zoom bingo - you can get free bingo cards online and I sat and came up with 90 new bingo number calls that were a bit more modern and funny. It went down a treat with my friends.
Book Club - I don't know enough about it but I've set up a virtual book club via a watsapp group and weekly group meetings with my friends who enjoy reading.
I'd love to hear others ideas of activities that we can do isolating or not

If you're into that sort of thing (as I am) Unleashed Events are running an online Comic Con on Facebook next Sunday.

I dont really socialise virtually apart from with friends and that is just texting etc so would be really interested in some ideas as well
-
I just use forums really but that has been the same since before the lockdowns as I have trouble socialising in real life

I don't play online, well hardly ever, too much swearing online and people who cheat, people also hate the fact that due to my hearing aid I can't wear the headsets so I don't talk during online matches.

@janer1967 I didn't either but the zoom bingo was really good. Me and six friends a glass or two of wine it felt like they could have been in the house with me. The gaming has really helped my boys keeping in touch with friends but I'm rubbish and wouldnt know how to play them. lol

Thanks for starting a great thread @Lou_Scope
Here are a few things I've done with friends:- Online escape rooms - there are quite a few free ones online. I've done all of the ones on this site, and they were good fun! Especially the Sherlocked one
- Online murder mystery - I did a free online murder mystery for my friend's birthday recently and it was a really good laugh. Here is the link to the pack
- Watching TV shows and films together - I think it's nice to just chill and watch a TV show or film with some friends virtually. You can use a Chrome extension like Teleparty, or just sync the videos up and start a group chat or video call

@Tori_Scope thank you so much I will definitely be giving some of those a try. Great that they are free as well
