Hi to all,
How long do I need to wait for a hand rail in the shower fitted from the council as I have balance issues and am partially sighted I spoke to adult services and they said it would be put through to the council.

Hi @Sparklebright63
I hope you're well.
I imagine that the wait times can vary, depending on the amount of funding they currently have and the number of other cases they're working on. Have you asked adult services whether they were given any indication on how long it could be?0 -
Hi
Sorry but it's not really any of us could know
Speak to your council adaptations team they can maybe indicate how long it would be0 -
Some councils have money. Most mainly don't. There's what they should do in theory, and then there's what actually happens. Budgets usually start in April. They may have every penny spoken for, before it arrives. If there is any chance at all of competent and sturdy D.I.Y., for such a simple thing as a support rail, it may be worth considering.0

@Sparklebright63 I brought my own rail and I found a local company to fit it with cost of rail and fitting I paid 25.00 maybe doing it yourself may work out better unless its all ready been arranged through your council in wales i was waiting three months thsts why I did it myself0
