It will be a change of circumstances

If you have an award you cant claim another one

I would get advice before reporting a change ad it could affect your current claim as will rmtrigger a complete new assessment

How long is left on your current claim also as it may be worth waiting for a review if there idnt long left on it

Before reporting a change you should look at the point scoring and be realistic whether the change is likely to result in you receiving more points than before and if it would whether the difference would actually change the amount of benefit you would be entitled to. If you report a change the whole award will be looked at again - you can't ask them just to look at one particular point.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

@char38 what rate of PIP do you get now?

A new diagnosis is not a change of circumstances unless it would impact your entitlement. You need to asses that carefully before you even think of contacting DWP.
