Welcome to the community @Aushi
It's great to have you here!
Just to let you know, I've moved your post into our disabled people category, and renamed it slightly, so that other members will be able to find it more easily. -
Hi and welcome on board
I an also visually impaired with a 14 year old son
You might want to try social services who have list of approved carers they also should have a sensory team who could maybe help as well
They can do an assessment to see what care you need
You can also refer yourself for a care needs assessment on the Gov website

Hi Tori, thanks for moving the post and for the tweak ?
FW stumbles before getting used to the place! -
Hey @janer1967
What a co-incident! How are you coping with home learning?
I’ve tried all the routes you have kindly suggested - my borough does not hold a carer register I am afraid.
I do receive a limited personal budget which makes attracting the right talent very difficult - any tips? -
Home schooling difficult when you cant see much to help but he does zoom classes so not too bad just have to help with few bits
I dont have any care I am in a wheelchair as i am also an amputer so not sure tbh I have seen adverts on Facebook before but dont know how safe that would be
What about students that are doing care courses
Hopefully other members may have some suggestions
