Hi my daughter received dla for her autism and anxiety and I receive carers  allowance would I still be able claim pip for severe hearing lose in one ear and moderate in other ear thanks just wondering before make claim as don’t want it to affect my claims for careers allowance thanks

    Hi there 

    It wont affect your carers however you need to look at the PIP descriptors before to make sure you would score enough points 

    Tbh I have read quite a few people who are deaf being turned down but it all depends on how your affected against the descriptors 

    You can get PIP and still get carers for caring for another person as long as the care you give doesnt go against reasons you claim PIP
