Hi, my name is dannistar! My son turns 16 in August, and I'm worried about the PIP process

We received a letter from DWP about my sons Pip as he is 16 in august. I’m so worried he will not receive what I believe he should continue to get from DLA. My son has Cerebral palsy speech & language difficulties including severe receptive & expressive difficulties , he has short term memory loss and Social and emotional difficulties due to anxiety and a specific learning disability.
Hope you are all well. I am the worlds worst worrier and could do with someone else who understands how stressful this process is.
Thank you.
Danni.

Hi and welcome to the community.
We understand how stressful the process is as lots of us have to go through it
All you can do is fill the form in with detail of how he is affected give 2 real life examples for each descriptor
Fingers crossed and let us know how it goes1 -
Welcome to the community @dannistar
As Janer1967 has said, many of our members have been through the PIP process so they can understand your worries. Do you have any particular concerns about the process? Have you familiarised yourself with the descriptors?1 -
Hi all
no I’m not familiar with the descriptors0 -

Update, a nurse rang for my sons pip claim , had no idea they were calling but answered questions without son being here & she will write her report & someone will get back to us with the outcome. Will update when we hear.0
