I've recived a letter saying I'm in lcwra group, I applied last March, I understand the 3 month back payment issue, but would the back payment be from 3 months after a sent in forms or from any fit not previous, this has probably been asked but I can't seem to find it,

Hi there
It is 3 full assessment periods after you declared the condition that are covered by fit note
Payment starts on the 4th assessment period
Ic you want specifics put the date you reported and the dates your assessment period are and I can work it out0 -
I'll sign in and look in a second, but if the Fit notes weren't consistent because I'm sure I missed a couple would that effect it?0
-
Yes it would you need to have provided continuous fit notes
The back pay may only be paid from date of continuous notes plus the 3 month waiting period0 -
So the date I sent the forms with all the evidence about the disability is irrelevant, thanks for replying0
-
I'm not 100% sure but it is usual that you have to supply continuos fit notes
You may need to call them
Does your letter say when award start date is ?0 -
No just following your assesment theve decided I have limited capability of work and work related activities, and if I'm owed any money I will recieve a letter in the next 7 days, etc0
-
OK you will just have to wait and see what it says
Come back if you think it is wrong and we can advise0 -
Yeah thank you I only received it today I'll just have to be patient haha thanks again0

Just to update you I received the letter it was backdated to when forms were sent they said that the sick notes didn't matter too much as the evidence I sent with forms were enough.0

Great news you can relax now and decide what to do with your back pay1
