    Hello @robnvik

Welcome to the community, I'm sorry to hear about what your daughter is going through. Have you discussed her symptoms with her GP at all?

she went into hospital as they put her on antibiotics for a week but she improved a bit but she was addmitted to hospital and run some tests so they was eventually all clear and discharged but we have been passed onto cahms , we have had a phone consultation with and they are speaking to people about it and will call us in 2 weeks

    Hi @robnvik

Thanks for posting. This must have been very distressing for all of you. Has your daughter actually been diagnosed with psychosis?
Women and girls living with cerebral palsy (CP) often start their periods early and they can be heavier and more painful but not always. I am not aware of any link between Menstrual Psychosis and cerebral palsy.

Menstrual psychosis is a rare and often unrecognized disorder. As the name suggests, this is a particular kind of psychosis that occurs following the menstrual period, usually described as the time frame between 3 days before and 3 days after the first day of the period.

Menstrual psychosis presents cyclically, full remission is expected between episodes, and the disorder does not cause cognitive deterioration.
Awareness has faded over the years, and today most psychiatrists are unfamiliar with this disorder.

I would discuss this during your call in the next two weeks.
