Hi I'm the mother to a 17 year old daughter with ASD and dyspraxia. I also have dyspraxia and am sure I have ASD but have never got tested. I'm trying to help her with life skills and am trying to find a course to help because I'm finding it really hard to help her.

Hi and welcome to the community

Could you speak to a disability adviser at a local college see what they suggest

Thanks janer1967 The problem is that she is currently doing an internship for people with an EHCP. It's a great course and has taught her lots of life skills eg. getting a job. I feel though that she needed a more basic level first then this second. A crystal ball would be very useful in these situations to know if the course is at the right level!

Sorted! This year's students are being offered the option to redo the course so can do all the areas they missed out this year thanks to covid. Such a relief feeling so relaxed, until the next thing to up my anxiety again!

Glad that the issue was sorted for you @Anna_Louise and a warm welcome to the community from me too.

Do you have techniques in place to manage your anxiety? Is it something you receive support for?
