Thats a decent set to have @cloeblue04, enjoy!0
-
so i have the toy story movies on bluray, but wanted to see if there is a point in upgrading to 4k for them, just bought the first movie on 4k, not expensive at all, i love the story in these movies and friendship overcoming adversity, i'll let you know the verdict when it gets here

I like Toy Story too @Grinchy And it's so nostalgic for me! Which is your favourite one?0
-
i like the first two the best @Tori_Scope, the others are good to, but for me the first two movies have the most heart1
-
So i took a few blurays to my local CEX, got a voucher to spend in the store, decided to get a couple of 4ks, so went for Jaws and Alien, both classic movies

I eye spy Disney! Disney is my favourite and Toy Story is a classic.
Do you enjoy things more when they have the most heart then @Grinchy? Hope you enjoy watching Jaws and Alien0 -
Hey @L_Volunteer I enjoy disney and pixar films, they sometimes show so much heart with little dialogue, i'm thinking of the opening scenes of UP, and parts of Wall-e, and toy story to, i enjoy it when a film just gets you to feel uplifting emotions, i also like daft horror films and comedys to, thats most of my collection0
-
So i had a friend come around and we traded a couple of blurays, first up the european release of Event Horizon, i worked on this movie way back as part of the special effects makeup team, a hard slog, its basically a ghost story on a spaceship, this is the 4k special edition
and the Green Mile, another firm favourite,

Have you seen the new Black Panther @Grinchy?0
-
Hey @Tori_Scope, no not yet, i haven't seen the first movie, need to see them, have you seen it?0
-
It's nice seeing the additions to your collection.
Have you ever seen the SAW films?
They are the only horror films I have seen, they are pretty horrible but I guess thats why they are called horror films. They are quite daft as well.0 -
Not yet @Grinchy! I think my friend saw it yesterday, so I'll have to ask her how it was0
-
I've seen the new Black Panther film, without seeing the first one, and I thought it was an enjoyable watch! Definitely feel like seeing the original now.0
-
Hey @66Mustang, yeah i've seen the saw movies, they are the epitome of daft horror, i loved them, but then i'm a bit weird
Hey @Tori_Scope, my son went to see it today, hopefully he enjoys it
Hey @Alex_Scope, glad you enjoyed it, we are of to the local cinema tonight to watch the new Ryan reynolds Will Ferrell movie spirited, heres the trailer, its also on apple tv if you have it

I think that’s what I enjoy the most about Disney too @Grinchy, really uplifting! Do you have any particular favourite daft horror films and comedies?
I would be interested in hearing more about your favourite films, especially as you seem really insightful with your film collection.
How wonderful that you had a friend come around and you traded a couple of Blu-rays. Not least how magical that film is for you!
Christmas movies make me happy, shush, we don’t need to know it’s not December yet
Also, p.s. I hope you had the best time at the local cinema

Hope you had a good time at the cinema @Grinchy?0

thanks everyone, yes we enjoyed the movie, a musical, very entertaining
Hey @L_Volunteer, i have a variety of favourite movies, to many to mention, i'm in a bit of a Christmas movie vibe at the moment, just watched Deck the halls, a great movie, and home alone another favourite, love the first three movies then it went a bit rubbish!
yes my friend works at hmv and can get a variety of movies at a discount, i've only asked him a couple of times, don't want to be cheeky, but he has a big collection of movies that we can trade on.
Hey @66Mustang, i got what you meant about the saw movies, to me the gory ones are just a bit daft, at a technical level i can appreciate the work that goes into them, and the traps are clever, i love horror movies, they have never scared me, the artistry that goes into them, sculpture fabrication, and the makeups, still fascinates me
Hey @Alex_Scope, we really enjoyed the movie thanks, it was nice spending time with my wife outside the home
and @Teddybear12 we love the green mile such a good story,1 -
So i traded in a pile of blurays and managed to get my self a 4k set of back to the future, a great set
