Hi @alex19. Having any test for possible cancer is always scary, so you’re definitely not alone on that one. Try and think that the sooner you get the results the better, you’ll then know what’s what, and if necessary it will be dealt with. When is your appointment? Do you have someone to go with you?0

Is this the test to do? If so, it's easy to do, & at least in the privacy of your own home (I've done a couple). I got the results fairly quickly too.

@chiarieds this is 1 of the tests I need to do doc said it's 2 week wait for results0

I always find the waiting times hard too. Taking one day at a time is the best plan. If you get too stressed, do something nice, treat yourself. I’m glad you have a partner to support you.1

@Leigh14 yes I do have partner been with him 10 years we have children aswell 3 of my children have complex needs then we have another 3 children aswell I'm trying to stay strong for my children they are my world I don't have mum or dad they have died 1 of my sister's died aswell as 2 of my brother's my partner's mum died 5 year ago and in July 2019 sadly mine and my partner's baby died it can be hard at times I have good/bad days like everyone else does I'm trying so hard ATM to stay strong but today is a off day for me0
-
I'm sure it must be worrying @alex19, but you've got this
It's okay to have an off day, but I second the advice to try and stay busy while you wait so that it's not at the front of your mind all the time. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the other appointments.

I’m so very sorry for all of your losses @alex19. I understand about good/bad days, and if it’s an ‘off’ day for you, that’s perfectly ok. Just be kind to yourself, you deserve to be.I don’t have my mum and dad either, which is extremely hard at times. I have one adorable son, who keeps me going, as I’m sure your children do for you.0

Thank you @Tori_Scope I'm just going to have a lazy chilled day today make pies and cakes etc with the children it's my son's 4th birthday on Sunday so got a party to prepare and gifts to wrap and goodie bags to make plus got to go get him a lovely cake today0
-
I’m sure they feel the same about you too. Kids are the reason for getting up in the morning, they are also good at distracting us from our own worries.
Enjoy your pie and cake making day. Happy 4th birthday to your son on Sunday????0 -
That sounds good @alex19
It'll certainly keep you occupied!
Happy birthday to your son for Sunday. What cake do you think you'll go for?0 -
