Hello guys I hope you are all well.
About 18 months ago I had my WCA assessment which I failed however since that day I have been on fit notes without a problem. However my fit note expired yesterday and the uc staff wrote this: JC can not accept fit note for period 02/08/21 to 01/11 /21 as you were found to be Capable for Work.
Do you guys know what the problem is why they have done this after a year because my conditions have gone worse and i have been diagnosed with new condition. What can you guys advise me?

I believe you would need to report a new or worsening condition before they can start accepting fit notes again. Others will be along to clarify soon I hope.0

You need to explicitly report a change in your health condition through your UC journal.0
-
Yes so do I have to report my new health conditions?
I dont understand why now after 18 months because I was submitting my fit notes every 1 month0 -
I expect no one at UC actually reads the content of the Fit Notes such that they would notice a change in your conditions from them. If you want UC to be aware of a change and act on it you need to report it.0

james19o6 said:The problem is that the JC is closed so they just accept it over the journal. Also I have now reported my new conditions and reported my fit note again. Have I done this correct @calcotti?
Make sure that you keep all the Fit Notes, you are likely to be asked to produce the relevant ones at some future date as claims are regularised.0 -
@calcotti many thanks for your advice they have accepted my fit note. And have advised me that a new questionnaire will come for a WCA. However I have a question my post box is shared with my neighbour as I live in a flat is there any chance I could collect it at Job centre or give a corresspondce adress?0

Reviewing what I posted yesterday I wonder whether it might after all be possible to get just one of piece of mail posted to a different address, if that is what you prefer. If you ring them you could at least ask.
Quite possibly you will be too late for the UC50 anyway if it has already been action.1 -
A friend of mine lived on a Narrow boat. She asked at the local POST OFFICE if her post could be delivered for her to pick up their. Post mistress said Yes .been doing that for a year now. Worth asking at your post office ?0

@Anne_2021 oh okay thats good to hear. Do you know if there is a specific form at post office i have to ask? Many thanks its a nightmare when you share post box0
-
I don't know . She just asked at the post office. Think you just ask post offices and tell them you don't have a secure post box. Give it a go .0
-
@james19o6 .Did you ask at the post office about your Post?0
-
@Anne_2021. Yes I did and they told me to apply for it online and pay a fee off 36.99 pounds for 3 months redirecting post0
-
That's unlucky. think my friend just had a very understanding post mistress .
I did that when I moved house . But Try post office website.
Go to search box put in Poste Restante then click on If there's a post office in your area
Quite a bit of information.0
