Hi
i applied for limited capability for work back in April 2020 and finally got my assessment phone call two weeks ago. Since then they have awarded me limited capability to work but not the work related activity component so I have been awarded the work allowance but this has all only been backdated to March 2021??? I did some home work in December 2020 January February and March 2021 but they are only giving me back the underpayment for March this year because they have only backdated it to match this year? How can this be right when my claim started in April last year? Even if you disregard the first four months after claim is made then the earliest my claim should be backdated too is August 2020? Am I missing something here. Help please

If you continued to send in fit notes with no gaps until the decision was made then any money owed should be backdated. I@m assuming you didn't have the work allowance at any point before the LCW award?

Hello tks for the rest. Yes I sent in continuous sick notes and no I didn’t have the work allowance before this0

Put a note onto your journal under the payments section and ask why you haven't received backdated money for the months you received earnings. For your WCA decision if you think you should be placed into the LCWRA group then you can request the MR but make sure you understand the criteria for this group because if you don't meet the criteria it will be pointless requesting the MR.0
