Hi there I’m having problems with my student ID not being accepted for alcohol and scratch cards now I totally get where people are coming for but it’s harder for people with disabilities to access ID especially those people who can’t drive. I know you can use your passport for ID I took it with me today to get a scratch card but dose anyone know where you can get a proper ID card from.

Hi @FreddyDawson, welcome to Scope online community
How are you doing today?
For an ID that will be accepted for age checks it needs a PASS hologram. The What is a CitizenCard? - UK photo ID card does have this hologram and costs £15. They expire after 3 years.
You can also get a provisional Driver's License for £34 if you apply online Driving licence fees - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). It is valid for 10 years.
I assumed you were wanting a card that passes age checks, let me know if there was another reason as there are cheaper options! For example if it's just so you can vote, due to the new voter ID check laws, there is a free voter certificate you can get.0
