Linked catalogue accounts - issues?

Anyone know much about catalogues. My mam uses Jacamo from time to time, always pays on time and more than minimum payment.
She didn’t realise it was linked to JD Williams and she saw something she wanted to spread the cost on. She applied and offered an initial limit.
Not realising Jacamo is linked to JD Williams. So she went on chat and asked for the account to be deleted which they have done.
Will this cause issues? She was worried it could be classed as fraud? She didn’t lie she just didint realise they were linked and didn’t want 2 accounts.
No lectures on catalogues please, I don’t agree but it’s my mums choice.

I don't understand (this is not unusual)
But what is the fraud?0 -
Well it’s not necessarily. She just said and in her words “what if they think I was trying to defraud them by opening another account in the same name with another catalogue that are linked in the same group of companies?”0

Yeah I noticed online that they are linked together, they run about 4 different catalogues.I did check the t&cs afterwards for her and there is nothing in there about multiple accounts. It’s closed anyway now but she was just worried it might look suspicious.Yes they don’t make it clear they are linked though.0

I have jd Williams and its linked to different cataloges I have two different ones two different limits its not fraud you can close an account at any time0

Not sure if this helps. But JD Williams is not a stand alone retailer, it’s part of the G Brown fashion group. So likely be numerous catalogs within this group.0
