I claim carers element. Would our UC be affected if I worked 30 hours per week?

It doesn't affect your carers element. It will olnly affect Carers allowance, if you claim this. If you start working you will need to report the changes onto your journal.
You will have the work allowance which means you can earn either £335 per month if you claim for help with the rent or £557 if you don't. Any earnings over this amount and your UC will be reduced by 55%.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

If you also claim carers allowance then yes you will need to report the changes to them and the carers allowance will then end because earnings of more than £128 per week will mean there is no entitlement.
The Carers Allowance that's being deducted from UC will of course no longer be deducted.
