Prefer though the older British made ones. Very chuckable around small islands

I got to drive a “proper” Mini on a track as part of a gift experience thingy…was really fun I agree

Vauxhall Viva was old P reg not sure what year that was

I'm going to show my age now, mine was a 1962 MK1 Cortina bought in 1976 for £40, it lasted me all of 6 weeks so about £1 a day.
I went over a humped back bridge too fast and the front suspension came through the bonnet. Happy days.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡 -
Never took a test, so never owned a 🚗
@woodbine someone in my towns owns a cortina not sure what Mark it is. -
I've never bought a car, but I learnt to drive in a Mini which I thought was pretty cool!

I have only ever owned a car for fun, I've never actually needed it.
I hope to keep it that way. If I am ever able to get a job I don't intend to have to commute there by car.
I could easily get rid of it but if I did I think I would need to do a track day every couple of months or maybe hire a nice car occasionally for the weekend.
With the saved money could actually have a lot of fun
