Bad back

I've had massages using a heat a machine in the past, loved it, not seen physio for years with my back.
Its my legs I need to go for, all the muscles have wasted and I can't put fat weight on my legs. I need to see Dr really.

Definitely do check in with your GP about this, especially if it's a new or progressing symptom. Slightly different because I have CP but I was recently told that I am losing some of the (already little) muscle in my legs, so I started using splints after referral. I can't really move at all when I'm wearing them because it's too much pressure
but my consultant was very pleased and said that I'd improved when I last saw her! I don't know if that would be helpful in your case, but it might be worth considering. Please keep me updated on how you're doing

I used to love going to physio for manipulation etc - can't have any of it now with this new diagnosis - fingers crossed will be better after opp and can return, not just for exercises x0

Hi, @Teddybear12 and @SueHeath, I’ve run out of bananas, I ate four in two days which is plenty and my back is feeling much better. Still a bit stiff but a lot better than it was. I’ve also used a warm water bottle which is helpful too.
I think a couple of days more and it should be almost normal again. Thanks for asking. 🙂1 -
How are you now @Teddybear12?0

Oh dear. I hope it passes very soon @Teddybear12. I don’t know much about shingles, does a cool flannel help at all?1

I don't know it's c**p having all these ailments to bring us down, i know about shingles, my sister has had it, we all caught chicken pox from her. I've heard that they are extremely painful and uncomfortable, i bet you do feel low at the moment . Fingers crossed things will feel better in a couple of more weeks.
Glad to hear your back getting there, sorry you've ran out of bananas ha ha, i was following this experiment ha ha x1 -
Morning @Teddybear12,
Sorry to hear that you’re feeling low at the moment — you certainly have a lot going on! Have you spoken to your GP about the shingles? It sounds like you’ll need some medication to clear it up.
In the meantime, a quick Google search tells me that bathing in colloidal oatmeal should help to ease any itching you’re experiencing. I haven’t tried this myself, so please be sure to do your own research about skin sensitivities etc., but I’m happy to link what I found, if that would be helpful!
Also glad to hear you’re doing so much better, @leeCal. The banana experiment has been fascinating1 -
Glad to hear that you were able to get some medication, @Teddybear12. I really hope that it helps soon. Let us know if you need any extra support in the meantime, it's always rough when our bodies are mean like this
