I will be very brief to begin with.
The local council is still paying the old care home my adult daughters funding! she has been home for nearly a year and they said they won't back pay. They also are insisting that once it's sorted I use Money works plus etc to control the money but I refuse after all the drama I've been through trying to get back appointeeship for 6 years!!! Anyone out there who has child at home 24/7? How do you work out payments? I think Direct Payments are good for services but DLA and savings I think I should be in control of- for ease!
Thanks in a advance...I'm multitasking so sorry for mistakes...

Hello @rigavitch and welcome to the community, thanks for reaching out with your query, I'm sorry it's become such a drawn out process. That kind of thing can put a lot of stress on you, so let us know if you need support for your own health and wellbeing.
To help our members find your post more easily I've moved it over into our 'Children, Parents and Families' category.
Scope can provide some context around managing money for someone else
And GOV.uk has information on becoming an appointee here if you need a reminder, as I'm sure you'll have seen it already.
I'm afraid I have no direct experience of this, so I can't advise you much further, but hopefully some of our members can share their thoughts and experiences with you.
If you feel we can support you with anything further, please don't hesitate to ask.
