Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is good
As title says our situation is that my wife received PIP payment *as bank payment says*
but we don't have a decision letter yet.
Our story begun on middle of August when we called pip to start a claim, after 2 weeks after call we did not get a form for the claim so we called pip and chased it down and they apology as they sent form to wrong address, after call in about weeks time we got the form (4th of October ). Everything was filled , attached additional paperwork - well everything as usually it would be and sent away (6th of October ).
On 27th of October we got message: We got your form!
20th of January we had assessment and not long after it we got message from DWP that they got assessment notes and it would take up to 8 weeks for decision .
So now on 10th of February wife got payment from PIP ( £2044.67 ) but the oddest part is that we don't have decision letter yet, is this normal or should we be worried ?
Thank you in advance!
I hope everyone is good

Hi,Nothing at all to be worried about. It's perfectly normal to receive payment into your bank before the decision letter. It can take a couple of weeks sometimes to receive the letter. When you recieve it, it will tell you what award she's been given, the length of time and what day to expect future payments.1

Hi @edzusbalodis as Poppy says this is quite normal, you should get your letter in the coming weeks. I'm glad you're feeling more reassured now, hopefully now you can enjoy the sunshine today where you are

Unfortunately, we can only guess what's happened and you'll need to wait for someone to ring you back.
