Hi all, ive been getting pip for nearly a year now, im on the higher rate work capability, and the lower rate mobility , however i got 10 pts for the first part going outside and meeting people, this is due to my PTSD , and several mental issuesas im ex military, i recived a big fat 0 points for moving around , even though i have COPDand find it very difficult to breath never mind when i have to move, also i have severe pain in both legs due to alchol dependancy, i think the doctor said i had destoyed my pain receptors, and will always suffer from this pain, i cant walk any futher than 20 meters, i cant get in or out of the bath, and i need to gaet a taxi door to door everywhere i go, i have sent off my application 6 weeks ago, to be reassesed for the higher mobilty alwowance, im just wondering, if i fit the critera, and has anyone else come across this before.

Just to point out there is no “work capability” for PIP. Its daily living and mobility.

Sorry that's what I meant , it's the mobility I am asking to be re assessed,  as I have been told I am entitled to the higher rate.

How have you requested a re-assessment?

If a change of condition has been reported then they will look at your whole award again and not just the mobility part. Another assessment is most likely because most people have them. The whole process can potentially take at least 10 months.

If a change of condition has been reported ..
I’m not clear whether this is a reported change of condition or a request for an MR.

Which is why i said "if." However, here the OP did say this.. and there's no reassessment for the MR.

Didn’t mean any criticism of your post, I’m just not clear.

Hello @james2472 I'm checking in to see how things are going since you posted last week, did you find our member's replies helpful, or is there anything you're still unsure of?
