Evening @chiarieds I do hope your well 😊 we have spoke many times but I had to keep changing my username and email as kept forgetting them! Then myself and 1 of my children have been giving not so good news about our health's it has took few weeks for everything to sink it etc but I will get there I'm just trying to stay strong and taking 1 day at time takecare.

Hi @Nicetomeetyou22 -  I have problems with forgetting passwords all the time, so with you there! I'm very sorry to read about not great news about your health, & I'm sure it's worse about one of your children; I've certainly been there in the past.

I don't know about you, but I've felt that getting a diagnosis, even well unwelcome, is one stage forward in finding out more, getting help, & understanding. Yes, it certainly takes time to sink in, & if you're doing it in a few weeks, you're doing incredibly well, & better than I ever did. Good you're staying so positive; that really is the best you can ever do for yourself & family.

I only joined the community around a month ago, so we won’t have met before, but I wanted to pop by and say that I’m so glad you have found your way back here.

I love the name Sonic for a tortoise and I can’t imagine how painful it must have been to lose him. My dad had a tortoise growing up and named him Speedy, which makes me smile. I’m also sorry to hear that your family is struggling with bad health news, but I hope you know that we’re here, should you ever need to talk about it. As @chiarieds mentioned, diagnoses can sometimes be a powerful thing and I hope that things start looking brighter for you soon

Thank you @Danielle_2022 that means alot thanks for your comfort words 🙏  i have just been diagnosed with a cyst on the brain and autism I also have osteoarthritis social anxiety and insomnia I have children with complex needs some days can be hard but I just get on with things I take 1 day at a time and stay strong for my children thanks for saying hello 👋

 News about the cyst on your brain must be unbelievably stressful, but I am hoping that your medical team are on top of it and providing the best possible support? If not, please keep asking. I’ll be thinking of you and look out for more updates in the meantime. More positively, congratulations on the autism diagnosis! I hope you find that so much of your life makes more sense now, at the very least. Every experience is valid.

I know how tough social anxiety can be, which must be even truer on top of your other physical health issues. But guess what? Despite the anxiety, you’re here and you reached out for support online!! That is such a wonderfully big achievement and I really hope that your days get brighter soon. Your children are lucky to have you

@Teddybear12 thanks for your support it's not my daughter who has complex needs it's 3 of my sons and myself who has health needs I have 2 daughters and 4 sons my house is full of laughter I love it and yes @Danielle_2022 it's a big relief with my autism diagnosis

Welcome back @Nicetomeetyou22! I started working on the community in November myself I'm sorry to hear about your tortoise, I have a pet tortoise, and she's full of personality! No idea how old she is though.

Thank you @Alex_Scope 😊 @Teddybear12 It can be hectic at times but I have routines for my children and myself which work very well 😀 we are 1 big happy family 👪  and I just take each day as it comes 1 step at a time and get over any obstacles that get thrown in my way I stay strong for my children.

@Danielle_2022 thank you ever so much 💓  for your support and words of comfort social anxiety etc is horrible 😢  I'm going to speak to my doc today as insomnia is grabbing me more and more I do hope you are well Takecare 😊.

Hi @Danielle_2022 I have spoke to the doctor today he has put me on some tablets to try keep me calm throughout the day then he is going to review me in 2 weeks time to see how I am getting on so let's hope these tablets help me as I'm a very anxious person thank you for getting back to me I'm also on a waiting list to get counselling and therapy I do hope you have a great day in whatever you have planned 😊

@Danielle_2022 doc offered me sleeping pills to help me with my insomnia but I refused as I have children with complex needs and they sometimes wake up through night 🌙  and I would hate for them to have a accident plus 1 of my sons has epilepsy and I wouldn't hear him if he has fit 😢 if I was on sleepers that's how my sister died of a epileptic fit so I put my children first so I just get on with things with or without sleep 😴

Thanks for your response. It sounds like things are particularly tough for you at the moment. How are you feeling about things? Do you feel able to access support to meet all your needs - for example, social care overnight? If you need anything, we are here for you. We are also always more than happy to listen and talk things through with you if you would prefer. Sending you hugs

@L_Volunteer Thank you for your kind words and support things are going great at the moment 🙏 ❤  I do hope you're OK 👍  I'm not really a 1 for talking to people I don't like to be a burden on anyone I would rather just bottle everything up
