hello everyone,
i had been getting dla from 2009-2017
they sent me a form about changing To pip in 2017
i unfortunately ended up in hospital and i moved home due to dv.
fast forward to now I was told by my doctor best thing was to applying for pip..so I did
i had my phone call assessments 9th feb 2022, i got the text on the 11th feb stating they have recived my written assesment, today the 28th feb I rung dwp to see if a decision had been made, I was told they had made a decision sometime last week and that I should recive a letter in the next few days..
can someone pls tell me does this’s indicate that I won’t be receiving pip as she didn’t say on the phone and I have not received a payment
what are people’s experience with being told over the phones
thank you in advance

If the decision was successful, you would receive backpay 3-5 days after the payment has been released, the letter usually takes longer. If the decision was unsuccessful than you would only receive the letter. They should be able to tell you what the decision was over the telephone so you could always ring back and ask.1

If successfully awarded they will tell you over the phone. Not sure if it's the same if you're not successful.

I hope that the above replies have been helpful. Fingers crossed it's a positive result!
i unfortunately ended up in hospital and i moved home due to dv.By dv, are you referring to domestic violence? If so, I just wanted to check in with you to see how things are now, and whether you're out of that situation?
