Good Evening everyone,
I am nervous about my GP Letter request. I find it difficult to write and have 3 letters which are from previous pip evidence in 2019.
Just stating my medications that I have difficulty leaving my front door and would need a home visit home for assessment needed i would need to be a female assessor and would need to arrange for some to be present as my home is my refuge. Nothing has changed.
My form of communication is with support of my carer and she will need to assist me in request. could i type my letter request as this the way communicate and should come under patient centred care. Or would I have to write request which I would find difficult.

Assessments are taking place either by telephone or face to face at an assessment centre. I'm not aware of home assessments starting back yet.You don't have to write anything, you can type everything.0

I cant go to centre as im housebound due to severe agoraphobia and have a severe fear of phone i dont answer it and connected to certain events and unable to communicate on phone. All my apts are home visits and only place I can go is GP surgery which has to be planned and in back of one friends car and with her accompanying me hers only and very rare and arranged by practice manger so I can go straight through.
Which is very stressful and upsetting. I have severe PTSD from a rape which I am reliving at moment and had contact from crisis team through home visit.
So situation is very complicated and complexed. These assessments are like reliving my court case over again as my disabilities linked to mental health are caused by this.
All my assessments for five years have ended up being paper based.
I am seeking help as I am not coping and under crisis team my first visit was last week at home. my next visit from them is thursday.
Thankyou though for advise unfortunately them options are not available to myself at present.

I'm sorry to hear that. If there's enough of evidence to do a paper based assessment they will do that. If an assessment is needed i know there's huge backlogs so it maybe several months before you receive an appointment. It maybe different by then and home assessments maybe back on.
