We wanted to share this post on behalf of one of Scope's volunteers:

Please share and sign this petition to amend laws to refer to “collision” instead of “accident.”

It’s been 8 years since I was hit by a car, going 101mph, whilst stood in a bus stop. Last week I had surgery to repair further damage from this. Driving at that speed was a choice, not an accident.

Something needs to be done about dangerous driving. I want to get through to all of the people who feel road laws don’t apply. I believe it starts with words. Changing the language we use to refer to crashes is an important first step.
