I have just been told that NHS cannot supply the KAFO sock recommended for my KAFO!

Thanks for the link - however, it does not mention anything other than hardware/ equipment fot the home itself !
They don't even mention compression stockings - which I know that they include (I had a DVT 20+ years ago)

Anyone know whether KAFO socks are available on NHS?

I'm not 100% sure, @wibbles, but I did find a few links from local NHS trusts, such as this one, that I think suggest they can sometimes be provided to patients on the NHS. Perhaps it's done on a case by case basis? Was it an NHS doctor that told you they can't be provided on the NHS?

I was measured for and given a compression sock by my local chemist some ten years ago at no cost. I was told they were eighty pounds, over priced as usual. I too had a dvt some thirty years ago and I still have a swollen leg to this day @Wibbles.

Knee length compression socks Are or Were available on the NHS
But according to the chap that I emailed (from the NHS supply section) - full length KAFO socks "probably" are not!!

I was to be measured for a full length one two weeks ago but I became ill and had to cancel the appointment with a nurse. I am seeing the nurse about something else next week though, I’ll ask her whether there’s a cost or not involved. 🙂
