Anyone used a weighted blanket? Specifically Kuddly, but interested in any. I’m interested in some feedback as to what you thought of them, effectiveness etc as considering getting one.

Hi @kieran20
I haven't personally used one either, but I've heard great things! I think one of our volunteers, @Danielle_2022, mentioned having used one, so I wonder whether she'd be able to offer you some insight?
Just to let you know, I've moved your post into our category for discussions relating to autism and neurodiversity.0 -
I don't know the brand of mine, but it's either 12 or 15 lbs (about 5.4 to 6.8 kg). I have ASD and it is a blessing.0

Thanks for sharing @NonbinaryCode
What's your favourite thing about it?

I like the weight! It's quite nice and it makes me feel secure.0

I've been tempted to get one, as I think I'd find the weight comforting @NonbinaryCode
I also love a warm blanket!

@Tori_Scope It does get quite warm! It's a bit annoying during the summer, but it's great during the winter.0

I think I recall you saying you're US based- is that right @NonbinaryCode? I'm not sure what the weather's like where you are, but we've been having quite the heatwave over here in the UK, so definitely not warm blanket weather!0

I’ve used one and they’re really good for making you feel relaxed.0

Thanks for sharing that @sierrafox
Someone was telling me recently about a teddy bear that heats up, glows slightly, and 'breathes' (mechanically, presumably), to mimic a human. Though it's designed for babies, I thought it sounded quite nice!

There's nothing wrong with that @sierrafox
I have a few teddies in my bedroom, including one that I can put in the microwave to heat up. It's nice in the winter especially.
