As someone with hidden disabilities (epilepsy, autism, depression, etc), I have been conned by the DWP for over 30 years, and while there is evidence of entitlement during these years for an ex-gratia payment, the jobsworths are refusing to honour the facts but acting like cowards on The Weakest Link avoiding the truth and looking for excuses to make themselves look in the right and devaluing my claim - making the strongest look weakest. My life has been “inferiorised” with poverty and underdevelopment because of narcissistic jobsworths in the DWP who see gifted people with special needs as not entitled to support for their medical conditions yet treat them as subnormal when it comes to employment. I was labelled as subnormal in spite of having an IQ of 162 yet denied all my benefits.
The DWP nearly drove me to ending my life until I came across others in the same boat who have been conned.

Hello and welcome to the community @J2R2J
Thank you for speaking so honestly about what you have been through, it seems as though the DWP have caused you quite a bit of frustration and anger in the past.
You certainly aren't the first to have felt this way, and I'm glad that finding others who have been through similar things was helpful for you.
I'm about to send you an email from community@scope.org.uk just to see if we can support you at all. Keep an eye out for it and get back to us if you'd like0
