Hi , not sure if Benn asked before as new here so if this has apologies.
I have been granted lwrca .I sent my claim form in September 2021 and had my video assessment 28th March 2022 .
On my uc journal it stats I'm owed £2213.68 ,but then it says they have deducted £1526.42 as they have all ready paid this to me jan -March they hadn't ,but my payments are now showing as £1105.84 not my usual £763.21 ... I am so confused if anyone can help I would be greatful 🙏

Hi,
The extra money is not paid at all during the 3 full months waiting time. It’s then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition.
The extra money will be from January or Feb.What they do is replace your past statements with new ones and add the LCWRA element. They then recalculate them to find out what the total amount is. Then they deduct what you’ve already received for those months. The £1500 is what you received from Jan to March. The difference is what they owe you. Sounds correct to me.0 -

So they don't add the back dated money on they take off what I have all ready recived ?0 -
They owe you 2 months LCWRA element which is £343.63 per month. They already paid you £1526.26 from Jan to March. With the LCWRA added on it gives a total amount of £2213.68.
Total amount owed is £687.26, which is £343.63 x 2.They have to work it out like this to find out exactly how much is owed. The new statements replace the old ones.1 -
They work out the total that you are now entitled to for those months. They then deduct what they have already paid you and then pay you whatever is still owed.tmk11 said:So they don't add the back dated money on they take off what I have all ready recived ?
if they didn’t deduct what they have already paid you then you would be paid twice.1 -
