Hi I'm Joshua, I am huge anime nerd. I am looking for other guys or girls who are fans of anime.

Some of my favorite anime's are:

Hunter x Hunter
Demon Slayer
Fairytail

Would love to know everyone's favorite anime's!

I haven't seen much anime at all, but my partner enjoys it @GreenLizard :) She recommended Full Metal Alchemist, and My Hero Academia to me- have you seen either of those?

I'm sure I've heard of Demon Slayer, but I don't know what it's about. What's the basis of the plot?

Full metal alchemist is a classic! Probably one of the best anime's! 👍

Demon Slayer chronicles the journey of Tanjiro, a burgeoning Demon Slayer who sets out to bring down the powerful and deadly demon who is responsible for the death of his family and transforming his sister into a rabid creature.

    I highly recommend it!

Yeah, I've heard it's good @GreenLizard :) I've remembered another too- Attack on Titan. My housemate told me about it. The plot sounded interesting.

    Ahh, that sounds action-packed!

I keep meaning to give anime a go. When did you first get into it?

@Tori_Scope I got into it when I was younger. I was around 12 or 13, the first anime I ever watched was Dragon Ball! I'm 27 and I'm still heavily into anime haha. I love the art styles and the relationships between different characters! ☺️

That's an impressive amount of time @GreenLizard :) I can definitely appreciate the art style- some of the screenshots I've seen are really cool!

What would you say is a good starter anime?

Do you read manga? My partner also enjoys manga and manhwa.

I would recommend Full metal alchemist or Death note, they are great starter anime's.

Sadly I don't read any manga I prefer audiobooks!

That's also another one of my hobbies, listening to fantasy audiobooks 👍

I would echo Death Note as a starter @GreenLizard, my partner is a big fan of anime and she showed me that as an introduction and I absolutely loved it.

I've also watched Death Parade with her and Attack on Titan, both of which are very enjoyable.

    Hello @Fabs

Welcome to the community! :) A lot of our members like the privacy side of a forum, so unsure how many would want to watch. Have you tried websites like MeetUp? They host virtual events but you could also host and advertise your own :)

I'm not one to watch it virtually with others, though I do miss my old anime society meetups when I was at Uni. We'd all sit together in a lecture hall and watch an episode a week of 3-4 shows we voted for.
