Marfans - Travel Insurance.

in Start here and say hello!
Hi my two step children have recently been confirmed as having Marfans. GOSH did heart scans and so far all normal. We had previously booked for a holiday abroad. Any suggestions on how to approach the issue of travel insurance?

    Hello @Andrews and welcome to the community, how are you today? I hope you had a nice Easter weekend. 

    This is a very supportive and welcoming place as you have already seen above, and I hope you enjoy taking part across the community. If you have any questions then don't hesitate to ask.

    How are your step children coping with the diagnosis? As mentioned above it can take time to get used to things and adapt but I hope you're all managing well and are well supported.

    Regarding travel insurance, have you been in contact with any insurance providers to discuss your options? I would recommend having a browse of a site like Compare the Market, you can get travel insurance to cover pre-existing conditions but not all providers offer that kind of cover with a standard policy.     I used to use sure stay who covered certain pre existing conditions not used them while as not been away for about 6 years

    Indeed - I realise that, but as noted in my reply there are suggestions in that link about where to go to try and obtain insurance for pre existing conditions.
