Hi, my name is hussy! Can they make a decision if I didn't complete the forms, only the assessment?

Hi @hussy thanks for explaining for us, that's really helpful.

Just so I understand fully, is it your first time applying for PIP, or is this a review?

Once the decision's been made, if you're not happy then you can challenge that decision by requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR)

Hi @hussy :) Welcome to the community!

I've moved your post into our PIP category, so that you can give us any updates you have, or ask further questions.

I hope that the others have put your mind at rest a little. Best of luck with your claim :)

As you've mentioned having severe depression, I just wanted to check whether you're receiving enough support for your mental health at the moment?

It may have been chosen for audit, if this happens it delays the report being returned to DWP. The audit process is nothing for you to worry about, it's them checking the assessor did their job correctly. Nothing you can do to speed up the process either as it won't be returned to DWP until the audit is completed.

Lots of people are carers and claim a disability benefit theirself. There maybe issues if your caring duties contradict the reasons why you're claiming PIP.

There's no timescales for completion of an audit. The longest i've known a report be in audit for was 6 weeks and this was for my daughters first PIP claim.

No, you will need to wait until it's been returned to DWP.
