Hi, my name is hussy! Can they make a decision if I didn't complete the forms, only the assessment?

I applied pip and didn’t send the form bck due to severe depression depression ring me bck and asked me why I didn’t send my form bck I told them I can’t fill in bcz I can’t concentrate due to severe depression and kidney problems they said you don’t need to fill any form u will have your assessment on 10/05/2022 now I’m really worried I didn’t send anything how they make decisions only based on assessment scores0
-
Hi @hussy thanks for explaining for us, that's really helpful.
Just so I understand fully, is it your first time applying for PIP, or is this a review?0 -
It’s my first time ever I’m so scared0
-
I did the assessment on 10 /05 lady said she will make the report and send to dep by end off the day0
-
Once the decision's been made, if you're not happy then you can challenge that decision by requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR)

Did anyone have awarded pip only on phone assessment without filling pip forms0
-

Hi @hussy
Welcome to the community!
I've moved your post into our PIP category, so that you can give us any updates you have, or ask further questions.
I hope that the others have put your mind at rest a little. Best of luck with your claim
As you've mentioned having severe depression, I just wanted to check whether you're receiving enough support for your mental health at the moment?0 -
Hi can anyone tell me after assessment how long it’s take for assessment report to go bck to dwp I ring them yesterday they said they didn’t receive any report yet it’s still with Assesor0
-
I had my assessment on10 may0
-
It may have been chosen for audit, if this happens it delays the report being returned to DWP. The audit process is nothing for you to worry about, it's them checking the assessor did their job correctly. Nothing you can do to speed up the process either as it won't be returned to DWP until the audit is completed.

I’m a carere for my son does it’s affect my pip claim

Lots of people are carers and claim a disability benefit theirself. There maybe issues if your caring duties contradict the reasons why you're claiming PIP.

There's no timescales for completion of an audit. The longest i've known a report be in audit for was 6 weeks and this was for my daughters first PIP claim.

My assessment is still with independent assessment service can they send me a copy of my report if I request before returning my report to dwp0
-
No, you will need to wait until it's been returned to DWP.
