Do we have to pay if you decide to appeal at tribunal stage and can you have anyone to represent you, or does it need to be a professional.

No, you do not have to pay to take a benefit decision to Tribunal. Anyone can represent you but unless they fully understand the PIP descriptors then i can't see what help they could be. Do be aware that even with representation, you will still be expected to speak for yourself.You can see what advice agency is local to you and see if they represent. https://advicelocal.uk/
