Hi 👋 I'm Michelle I'm new here.
I have applied for pip for the first time ,had my phone assessment on 16th may. I got a copy of it and it just doesn't seem right! Wrong dates on it,one section says I can't meet ppl face to face on my own other sections then says I can go on journey's alone 🤔,I can't stand to cook but can walk so many miles etc. Can I call up and query this or do I have to wait to receive a decision letter? TIA ☺️

Hi@muishell have a look at the ticks in the boxes on your report and then look at the descriptor section and see what been recommended.my report was the same but I got a fair recommendation ,I'm still waiting on a decision@kendo8611

Thanks for the replies . Received a payment in my bank today from pip .looks like I have been awarded middle rate daily living but no mobility. I will await my letter and then contact them .0

Hi@mulshell wa your payment the arrears off when you first claimed and congratulations x@kendo8611

Hi @Kendo861yes it's the arrears from when I first claimed. @Biblioklept it's what I expected going from my copy of the phone assessment but I feel I'm entitled to the mobility part too. I will await my letter then contact them as there was so many contradictory statements in the assessment0

Just to point out there is no middle rate. It’s either standard or enhanced.mulshell said:Thanks for the replies . Received a payment in my bank today from pip .looks like I have been awarded middle rate daily living but no mobility. I will await my letter and then contact them .0 -

That’s not correct. For PIP there’s 2 rates only, standard or Enhanced for both daily living and mobility. See link https://www.gov.uk/pip/how-much-youll-get though the link refers to it as low and high rate oddly.mulshell said:Hiya @MarkM88 I thought that too but if u go on gov website it says there is 3rates of daily living lower, middle and higher and gives u weekly payment amounts for each
There were 3 rates for DLA.0 -
@poppy123456 ok well I'm wrong then soz. I'm just going by gov website that i was told has all the update payment info.obviously gov website hasn't changed the DLA payments to pip yet.0

DLA rates are here and not on the PIP.gov website. https://www.gov.uk/dla-disability-living-allowance-benefit/DLA-rates0

Hi @mulshell
Were you previously claiming DLA and were told that you needed to claim PIP. Your DLA will continue while you're assessed for PIP. If you get a decision to award PIP, entitlement to DLA ends 4 weeks after the next DLA pay day and the PIP award will begin on the following day. Could your recent payments be the continuation of your DLA award ? You will need to check the the decision maker's letter for details of how your award is made up. For PIP, as previously stated by other online community members, there are two rates at which the award is paid: - standard or enhanced in respect of the daily living and mobility components.
If you feel that the decision maker has not taken into account your daily living or mobility needs appropriately in making their decision you can ask for the decision to be looked at again. The decision maker's letter will give details how to do this and further information can be found here.
