Motability

Hi everyone,
I know I’m not the only one stuck. I have been accepted into the pip motability, I ordered a new car it’s already taken 6 months I called today and they believe it will take another 5-8 months for it to be delivered. I don’t have a car now as my current car has broken & not worth fixing as it will cost 1-1.8k. I called motability today to see if they could offer any help but unfortunately they cannot help unless you are already on the scheme. Which I’m not as I’m waiting for my first car.

I called all my local dealerships and none have anything in stock or coming soon.
I cannot afford to go out a buy a car.
I really do not know what to do, does anyone have any suggestions that could help?
My children go back to school on Monday and I have no way of taking them as I cannot walk that far.
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated

You're not the only person having to wait a long time for new cars unfortunately and it's going to remain this way for at least the rest of the year.Even if you cancelled your current order and chose something different the wait could still be at least 6 months. The only other thing i can suggest would be to lease maybe a used car, that's a couple of years old. It will of course depend on your credit history whether you'll be accepted. Then just use the mobility money for the monthly payment. Then cancel the mobility car.0
