Hi everyone
I have just looked at what I will be getting this month and I have noticed this on what they say I get off esa, I'm a little confused .
Other benefits
We take money off your payment
As this is an average of other benefits that you're continuing to claim
Employment and Support Allowance minus ‑ £509.60

Yes, that deduction is correct. It's because ESA is a weekly benefit paid fortnigtly. UC is a monthly benefit. There's 4.3 weeks in a month. To work out the monthly payment you do the following.. £117.60 x 52 = £6,115.20/12 = £509.60There will be 1 month in the year where you will receive 3 ESA payments, rather than 2.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
