Medical evidence

I sent my esa50 form off two weeks ago and I am aware of the delays for the actual assessment. Some further medical evidence has arrive and wondering if it's of any use to send to them or to keep back in case I need to appeal. The hospital consultant has literally wrote I am unfit for work. But given they already have the forms that I sent in and with some medical evidence would it worth to hold on to this or to send? In two minds about it.

Did they write anything else other than this? If not then you need to ask yourself will that help? In my opinion based on personal experience and knowledge, it's not going to help at all. If they went into great detail explaining exactly how your conditions affect you then that's a different story.

They just put I need assistance leaving the house full stop and home bound. My condition causes memory loss. But most of it was explained on the forms originally sent. Just this wait is really making me unwell to know which way things are going to turn out. I know myself I'm unwell and unfit but fretting on the smallest of things that they need to know. I think it maybe wise I hold on to the letter so if they try and reject me that I have some fight back.
I just really wished it was over the wait is disgusting considering it's people's lives and disabilities in the balance. I don't know what's worse not knowing or to fight them back. Luckily the hospital have said they will fight every corner for me for the benefit. I just wish they would hurry up.
I know assessment should be 13 weeks from claim but does anyone realistically know the time scale?0 -
Yes I know the waiting is always the worst, everyone feels exactly the same. You're not the only person waiting for an assessment. The backlogs are huge and this is why reviews for the WCA are still currently suspended. The 13 weeks has nothing to do with the assessment wait. That's how long it is before the extra money is added if placed into the Support Group. Of course if a decision hasn't been made within that time then they will owe you money from week 14 of your claim.I remember when i first claimed ESA almost 10 years ago, i waited 10 months for my assessment, so not much has changed in that time.Timescales? No one can really tell you exactly because they will always be just a guide.0
