Hi all,
I received this text from PIP 2 weeks agoHello from Independent Assessment Services. We conduct Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you. You can find information about the service we provide at https://mypipassessment.co.uk. You do not need to contact us.
Can anyone give me an idea how long I will be waiting before I hear anything else.
Thanks 🙂1 -
Could be many months.1

Hi everyone I’m new to the site I applied for pip on July 26th with the recommendation from my doctor, I have been signed off work for the last 6 months because of my condition, I had phone consultation assessment on October 6th,on Friday 21st I had a text and a letter saying we have all the information we need but haven’t made a decision yet on your pip, today I’ve had a text saying we have awarded you pip, I was very worried I wouldn’t get pip, so I am happy I have been awarded it, as I have statements from occupational health doctor from work saying I will never be able to work again I’m only 45, if anyone wants to know what my condition is please ask me, I often looked in at this site at must say it is a very helpful friendly site3

@robbie123 Congratulations on your award although I just want to make it clear for other members reading that PIP isn’t awarded based on condition or if you work or not. Your backpayment will come within 3-5 days too.1

It’s on how condition affects my daily life, I was a gravedigger for 23 years0

Glad you was awarded PIP.
I was wondering if you received an appointment for your assessment and if yes how did you receive it please?1 -
Hi Dawny69 I had a phone call assessment lasted roughly 45 minutes2

@dawny63 if it helps with your question I had my assessment last Wednesday. I recieved a text message of the appointment the Wednesday before and the letter of the appointment didn’t come until the Friday! So don’t be surprised if you get a text message before your letter about appointment. Pretty certain they have to give you 7 days notice! That of course is if you need an assessment 😊2

Thanks for continuing to support each other on this thread. It is the support you provide for one another that makes this the supportive and friendly space it is0

Hi hi I’m new and have had my assessment on 5th October. Capita said they still had my report for audit till last week. I see some of you have had a text message from DWP to say they have received the report, but I haven’t had any communication. Is this a bad sign?0

They sometimes send a text once it's received but not always. It doesn't mean anything other than no text was sent.
