    Hi all,
I received this text from PIP 2 weeks ago

Hello from Independent Assessment Services. We conduct Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you. You can find information about the service we provide at https://mypipassessment.co.uk. You do not need to contact us.

Can anyone give me an idea how long I will be waiting before I hear anything else.

    Thanks 🙂

Hi everyone I’m new to the site I applied for pip on July 26th with the recommendation from my doctor, I have been signed off work for the last 6 months because of my condition, I had phone consultation assessment on October 6th,on Friday 21st I had a text and a letter saying we have all the information we need but haven’t made a decision yet on your pip, today I’ve had a text saying we have awarded you pip, I was very worried I wouldn’t get pip, so I am happy I have been awarded it, as I have statements from occupational health doctor from work saying I will never be able to work again I’m only 45, if anyone wants to know what my condition is please ask me, I often looked in at this site at must say it is a very helpful friendly site

@robbie123 Congratulations on your award although I just want to make it clear for other members reading that PIP isn’t awarded based on condition or if you work or not. Your backpayment will come within 3-5 days too.

When you will receive it will depend on when it was sent. You can ring PIP and ask them and they will tell you what day it will go into your bank.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

@dawny63 if it helps with your question I had my assessment last Wednesday. I recieved a text message of the appointment the Wednesday before and the letter of the appointment didn’t come until the Friday! So don’t be surprised if you get a text message before your letter about appointment. Pretty certain they have to give you 7 days notice! That of course is if you need an assessment 😊

If you get a text to say you have been awared pip does that mean you will diffo get a payment ?
Yes because you’ve been awarded. Any money owed is usually paid first and takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank.
I got a text this morning saying "We have awarded you PIP. We have sent you a decision letter explaining the award. Please allow 2 weeks to receive this. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change." when do yous think I will get payment

As already advised by poppy, the payment will be within 3-5 working days. The letter takes longer to arrive.

Hi hi I’m new and have had my assessment on 5th October. Capita said they still had my report for audit till last week. I see some of you have had a text message from DWP to say they have received the report, but I haven’t had any communication. Is this a bad sign?

DWP will only ge5 it when Capita release it. Not everybody gets a text from DWP.

They sometimes send a text once it's received but not always. It doesn't mean anything other than no text was sent.
